Declan leads the Centre for Autism Research and Education @ Strathclyde ( CARE@S)- working towards Neuro-Inclusion Flourishing.
This is a pan University centre that supports initiatives and programs in Education, Health and Wellbeing, Business and Technology via Research, Knowledge Exchange/Transfer, micro courses etc.
Declan is especially interested in partnership, and co-creation to drive Neuro-Inclusive practices and systems, to lead and support alternative approaches to embrace iterative opportunities and evolve a portfolio of programs across the whole of life need of the autistic and neurodiverse communities.
Declan's background is in Senior Commercial Leadership in a range of sectors from Financial services, Consultancy and Professional Service, especially with a focus on providing Learning and Development solutions and services across careers, executive education and vocational learning.
Declan has won over 10 Industry Awards so far , Twice winning Gold at the Global CCA awards for Most Effective Learning and Development Initiatives.
Declan has a Bachelors of Law (LLB) and a Masters of Psychology ( M.Sc.- from Strathclyde!) and is always interested in learning more!
